About Cathy Sheridan
Cathy Sheridan is an international classical and commercial musician having performed in venues such as Lincoln Center, The Banff Centre, and the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and places as far as Bangkok, Thailand. She has been a featured soloist with the Catskill Symphony, Schenectady Symphony, Glens Falls Symphony, Octavo Singers Orchestra, and American Guild of Organists Eastern New York Chapter. Cathy has commissioned several new works for the trumpet repertoire and was invited to premiere James Corigliano’s Sonata for Trumpet and Piano at the annual Conference of the International Trumpet Guild in Sydney, Australia.
Cathy is currently the Contractor and First Call Trumpet for Proctors Theatre (Schenectady, NY), Assistant Principal Trumpet for the Glens Falls Symphony, is a founding member of the chamber ensemble - Tri-City Brass, and is the former Second Trumpet for the Schenectady Symphony. She has also appeared with the Air National Guard Band of the Northeast, Albany Pro Musica, Albany Symphony Orchestra, Battenkill Chorale, Butterfield Brass Band, Capital Region Wind Ensemble, Hubbard Hall Opera Theater, and The Voices of Cooperstown, to name a few.

Cathy is a former Adjunct Professor of Trumpet at Adirondack Community College.

Cathy has performed with over 60 international touring productions, most notably Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, Frozen, The Book of Mormon, and Wicked. She has also appeared with prominent artists Sarah Chang, Kristin Chenoweth, Aretha Franklin, The Irish Tenors, Johnny Mathis, Gunther Schuller, and Elaine Stritch, among many others.
Cathy is the President Emeritus of the Schenectady-Amsterdam Musical Union (Local 85-133 of the American Federation of Musicians of the United States and Canada) and is also a member of AFM Locals 14 (Albany), 506 (Saratoga Springs), and 802 (New York City), the International Trumpet Guild, and Theatre Musicians Association.

Cathy earned a Bachelor of Music in Performance from Boston University, studying trumpet with Roger Voisin.
